Group Joining Safari Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park (Arusha-to-Lake Manyara National Park)
Our knowledgeable driver guide will collect you from your hotel and introduce you to the other participants of the group joining safari, providing a briefing about the tour. Departing from Arusha at 08:00 am, we will reach Lake Manyara National Park in approximately 2 hours. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to witness the captivating landscapes and the charming Maasai villages.

As we enter the park gate, you will be greeted by an enchanting underground water forest, which serves as a tranquil habitat for various troops of baboons. Continuing our game drive in this group joining safari, you will encounter the awe-inspiring sight of tree-climbing lions, the park’s main attraction. These lions ascend the trees to escape the wetness and the herds of buffaloes. Lake Manyara is also home to elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik, and impala. Over 400 bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, storks, and cormorants, can be observed in this splendid location.

Our modified 4WD safari vehicle, equipped with a convenient pop-up hatch, will ensure you have the best opportunities to admire the surroundings and capture memorable pictures during this joining safari. In the late afternoon, after a thrilling day filled with unforgettable adventures, we will depart from the park and head to the lodge in the Mto wa Mbu Area for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (Mto wa Mbu-to-Ngorongoro crater)
Today, we continue our group joining safari to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This unique area implements a multiple land-use policy, allowing animals and humans to coexist harmoniously. It is within this remarkable landscape that the Ngorongoro Crater and the Olduvai Gorge can be found. The Olduvai Gorge holds great historical significance as it is the site where the skull of the earliest known man, dated to approximately 3 million years old, was discovered.

Descending from the crater rim to the crater floor, we embark on a full-day game drive. The crater boasts the highest concentration of game animals, making it effortless to spot all the Big Five, as well as an array of predators including leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. This world’s largest caldera is also renowned for its black rhino sightings. Other remarkable wildlife that can be encountered while on this group joining safari in the crater includes zebras, wildebeest, serval cats, bat-eared foxes, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles, and various bird species.

A delightful picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the crater, followed by the continuation of our game drive. Later in the afternoon, we will ascend the crater walls and return to the Mto wa Mbu area for a satisfying dinner and a restful overnight stay at Twiga Lodge.

Day 3: Ngorongoro crater-to-Tarangire National Park-to-Arusha
Today, we proceed with our group joining safari to Tarangire National Park, located southeast of Lake Manyara National Park. Tarangire boasts abundant concentrations of game animals during the peak months, while receiving only a fraction of the visitors compared to the other Northern parks. Although this group joining safari is available year-round, the best time to visit is during the dry season from July to October. During this time, game viewing is exceptional, as the animals congregate near the shrinking ponds and streams. It is not uncommon to observe herds of elephants scratching the dry stream beds in search of water.

Visitors outside the park can indulge in both day and night game drives, as well as walking safaris. Your experienced driver guide will go above and beyond to ensure you spot all the remarkable animals and birds. After an extensive game drive, we will bid farewell to the park and return to Arusha town.

Join us on this incredible group joining safari and immerse yourself in the wonders of Tanzania’s remarkable wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.
