Selous Mikumi Safari

Day 1: Dar es salaam-Selous Game Reserve

Today we will pick you from the hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam for the journey to Selous Game Reserve. Afternoon embark into boat safari along Rufiji River were you will see crocodiles, hippos and water birds at close distance. Dinner and overnight at Selous Butembo Camp.


Day 2 – 3: Full Day Selous Game Drives Boat safari

Tanzania Selous Safari gives you two days in selous where you will experience the greatest wildlife safari in various areas of the Selous Game Reserve. The Selous Game Reserve is the largest Game Reserve in Africa with a remarkable number of wild animals and birds’ species.

Some animals which are commonly seen in Selous includes leopard, lion, giraffes, hippo, elephant, impala, hartebeests, pythons, elands, and the rarest wild dogs. Dinner and Overnight stay at Selous Kinga Lodge.


Day 4: Selous – Mikumi National Park

Breakfast in the camp, check out and continue crossing north of Selous and drive to Mikumi National Park. The Mikumi and Selous Game Reserve form a unique ecosystem you can’t miss to visit. The park comprises a subspecies of giraffe, that biologists consider the link between the Masai giraffe and the Somali giraffe. The landscape of Mikumi is often matched to that of the Serengeti. It consists of savannah landscape with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm trees. Dinner and overnight at Kikoboga Camp.


Day 5: Game Viewing in Mikumi

Breakfast in the camp, depart for morning and afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Kikoboga Camp


Day 6: Mikumi – Dar es Salaam

Today you will go for a Sunrise game drive with packed lunch en-route to Dar es Salaam where we will drop you at the airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island.
