Tarangire Day Trip

Tarangire Day Trip Program
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your Tarangire day trip starts just after breakfast at 07:00 am by departing Arusha for a two hours drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way you will pass across the wide open plains and the maasai villages. Just near the park entrance gate you will be welcomed by herds of zebras, wildebeest and playful monkeys under the shades of giant’s baobab trees.
As you proceed with the game drives inside the park you will see the Tarangire River lined by the greenish large fig trees, baobabs and acacia trees. This river and its distributaries are the main source of water for the animals during the dry season. The herds of different animal species will be observed moving up and down to the river and its tributaries looking for water. While on game drive along the river banks you can easily spot different species of animals within a small amount of time.
While continuing with game viewing during your Tarangire day Safari you will be able to see some rare species such as Lesser Kudu, Ashy Starling and Fringe-Eared Oryx.
In the mid-day you will break for few minutes for picnic lunch at one of the park’s picnic areas while enjoy the panoramic view of the Tarangire River.
You’ll return to Arusha late in the afternoon.
