Customized Tour with Lots of Personal Attention
We contacted Tumaini at Wilds Of Africa at the recommendation of my sister-in-law who had used his company for two previous trips. We were not disappointed. Tumaini worked closely with us (via WhatsApp texting and voice calls) to plan a customized safari for my husband and I at a very reasonable cost. He was very responsive to our many questions as we did our preparation for the trip. When we arrived in Arusha, we were a little concerned that Tumaini was not able to accompany us on our safari due to a family medical emergency. We shouldn’t have worried. Emmanuel, the teplacement tour guide and driver, was excellent. He was a very competent driver who gave us great confidence in his ability to navigate the miles of dusty, bumpy roads. He was a wealth of knowledge, not only about the animals and where to find them, but also about the birds and the plant life. Tumaini’s son Albert also accompanied us. He was very attentive to our comfort and took a great deal of responsibility for the daily maintenance and trouble shooting that seemed necessary to keep the Land Cruiser going. The Best Safari...don't miss it!!!
If you are looking for a personal tour that rocks, you can't do any better than Wilds of Africa. I have used them twice for 3-4 day safaris while on business and volunteering in Malawi. Francis is the ultimate guide and will make sure that your experience in one of kind. Don't see on the website? Just ask. He will put together any type of adventure that you can think of. Great authentic safari experience in Liwonde, Malawi.
Our group (a family including 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children from the UK) had a great trip in Malawi to Liwonde National Park (Kutchire Lodge) arranged by Tumaini. The safari was excellent, including a river safari as well as three road safari trips. The camp was an authentic experience run by excellent local guides and based in the park itself. We saw crocs, hippos, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs etc. We were transferred from Blantyre up to Lake Malawi as part of the trip and the drivers Maclean and Macpherson were excellent. Tumaini and his team were such a good choice for our 3day hike to Udzungwa mountains! Everything was arranged very smoothly, and Tumaini was happy to help us with any questions or problems. Very professional and he knows what European tourists like and need. The guide who hiked with us up the mountains, Paul, was also super friendly and professional, we had a great time!!. If you want to experience tanzanian nature away from the beaten trek, and have experiences that other tourists will not have: go for the udzungwa hike with wilds of africa! A few tips for the hike: - the hike requires reasonable fitness. - You're a few days in nature, so expect basic amenities. -bring good hiking boots, preferably covering your ankle - the porters carry the big items, but bring a backpack that can carry your clothes, raincoat, water and lunch for the day. Trip from Dar to Iringa visiting Mikumi and Udzungwa Nationalpark
Tumaini and Khalifa picked us up in Dar fot a two days trip. At the first day we went for a very nice Safari in Mikumi. Khalifa ist es very good driver in all kinds of roads, he drove uS very safe and knew everything about wild animals, birds an trees. Tumaini was a very good guide. The communication was very good and uncomplicated from the first contact to him from Germany until all WE wanted to know during the trip. At the second day the took us to Udzungwa Nationalpark, where we hiked with two Rangers to the Sanje Waterfall. IT was marvellous to walk trough the rainforest and take a bath in the Pool of the Waterfall. After the hiking Tumaini und Khalifa transfered us to Iringa. Wonderful National Park Experience
We did a Trekking Tour in Udzungwa National Park with an additional Game Drive in Mikumi National Park. Everything worked out perfectly, starting with the pick up in Dar, untill reaching our destination. Great choice for solo traveler in Malawi
I made a last minute plan to have a two-days trip to Liwonde National Park in Malawi with the Wilds of Africa. Francis was very responsive and able to accommodate my trip plan. The driver, MacLean, is fantastic. He is friendly, polite and patient. I felt safe travelling with him as a solo traveler. I enjoyed my time in the Kutchire Lodge and had a great safari experience in Malawi. I wish I can come back with my family and take a trip to another national park in different countries.
