The Group joining safari departs daily from Arusha town to Lake Manyara National park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. These three parks are located not a long driving distance from each other which made possible to be visited just in three days. A part from that, travelers will be able to see a sufficient numbers of animals species include the legendary BIG FIVE animals.
Accommodation during this Group joining safari is offered in basic permanent camps or dom tents. During the trip you will be travelling with your private cook and the driver guide. The cook will remain behind at the camping ground prepare the food for you and taking care of the camp and your properties.
Group Joining Safari Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park (Arusha -to-Lake Manyara National Park)
Our professional driver guide will pick you from your hotel and introduce to other members of the group joining safari and briefing about the tour. Departs Arusha at 08:00 am to Lake Manyara National Park the journey of about 2 hours. Along the way you enjoy to see the dramatic landscapes and the scattered Maasai villages.
As you enter the park gate you will find an underground water forest which forms the peaceful home to various troops of baboons. While continuing with game drive in this group joining safari you will be able to see tree climbing lions which are the park’s main attraction. The lions climb on trees to escape the wetness and the herds of buffaloes. This park is also a home to elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik and impala. Lake Manyara host over 400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants.
Our modified 4WD safari vehicle with pop-up hatch will provide you with the best opportunity to see the surroundings and take the pictures you want on this group joining safari. In the later afternoon after a long day of game drive full of adventures you will leave the park to the lodge in Mto wa Mbu Area for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ngorongoro crater (Mto wa Mbu –to-Ngorongoro crater)
Today we continue with our group joining safari to Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is UNESCO world heritage. The Ngorongoro conservation area has a unique multiple land use policy which allows animals and wild animals to live together. In this place is where the Ngorongoro Crater and the Olduvai Gorge are situated. The Olduvai Gorge is the site where the skull of the earliest man dated about 3 million of age were discovered.
Descend the crater rim down to the crater floor for the full day game drive. The crater has the highest concentration of game animals which makes easy for you to spot all the BIG FIVE, and a vast number of predators include leopard, cheetah and hyenas. This world largest caldera is the best place to spot the black rhinos. Other animals you will see while on this group joining safari in the crater include zebra, wildebeest, serval cats, bat eared fox, grant and Thompson gazelles and birds.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and continue the game drive after the break. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend the crater walls back to Mto wa Mbu area for dinner and overnight at Twiga Lodge.
Day 3: Tarangire National park (Ngorongoro crater to Tarangire National Park to Moshi)
Today continue with the group joining safari to Tarangire National park which is located in the southern east of Lake Manyara national park. Tarangire has vast concentrations of game animals in the peak months and a fraction of the visitors that go to any of the other Northern parks. Although the group joining safari is available throughout the year but the best time to visit this park is during dry season from July to October. In this time game viewing is outstanding since the animals congregate near the banks of the shrinking ponds and streams. Herds of elephants are occasionally observed scratching on the beds of the dry stream searching for water.
For visitors who stay outside the park can enjoy both day game drive and night game drive as well as the walking safari. Your driver guide will work very hard to help you spot all the animals and birds. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park and travel back to Arusha town.
