Day 1:  Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a short briefing in the morning, you will start your 6 days camping safari by heading to the Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire national park features the savannah grassland dotted with acacia trees, giants baobab trees, seasonal swamps and lagoons which inhibited by huge elephant herds. During dry season the animals gather at the only source of water the Tarangire River its tributaries.  While on game drive you should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeests to the weird-looking gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The park is also home to wildebeest, buffaloes and zebras which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and hyenas. Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Lake Natron

After breakfast, continue with your 6 days camping safari to the multicultural village of Mto wa Mbu then afterward to Ngaresero village in Lake Nataron. The Ngaresero village is an Oasis in the hot hot and dusty Rift Valley. Along the journey you will pass through the eastern escarpment of the rift valley to Engaruka ruins and the Ol doinyo Lengai volcano. The Ol Doinyo Lengai is a Maasai name meaning “The Mountain of God“. The maasai people gave the name to this mountain after seeing the fire on the mountain during the volcanic eruption. This reminds us of the biblical story of Moses who met God as fire on Mountain Sinai. Just from the camp you will see a pink glow from thousands of flamingos breeding and feeding on the algae of the alkaline Lake Natron. In the afternoon you will join a Maasai guide on a walk to a nearby waterfall before you return to the campsite for your overnight.

Day 3: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will travel along adventurous dirt climbing out of the Rift Valley to the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. Arrive Serengeti in the mid-day and continue with sightseeing.  The Serengeti (siringeti) is a Maasai word means “endless plains” the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. It is the oldest and the most famous park in Tanzania and the entire world home to the largest animal migration on the planet involve hundreds of thousands of animals wander to find fresh grass and water. Overnight in the campsite in the central or northern part of the park with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4:  Serengeti National Park

The entire day of your camping safari will be dedicated to game in the park. You will either go on a full day game drive or join early morning and afternoon drives in the Seronera area, depending on last night’s stop. Between March and May huge herds of wildebeests and zebras will be seen in the central area while calves and foals being born between January and March in Ndutu the southern part of the park. The Seronera area is also the best place to spot varied species of predators such as lions, cheetah, hyenas and leopards. Spend the night at campsite in the Seronera area with lunch, breakfast and dinner included.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today you may opt to go for balloon safari or continue with the sunrise game drives in the Serengeti with a possibility to spot animals which you haven’t seen yet. 3 Days Tanzania Camping Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

This is the first days of your 3 days Tanzania camping safari. Our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in Arusha town ready for the journey of about 140 km to Tarangire national park which takes you about 2 to 3 hours. At the beginning of the journey you will pass through the downtown Arusha town and spend few minutes purchase some stuff required for the trip.

The Tarangire National park is famously known for the huge population of elephants and giant Baobab trees. The park is said to have about 3000 individual elephants whose migrate around the Tarangire and Lake Manyara ecosystem.

The park named after the Tarangire River which flows across the park and serves as the main source of water for the animals especially during the dry season. Animals tend to congregates along the banks of this river during the dry season which makes easier for game drives. Day 2:  Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will drive about 87 km which will take you about 2 to 3 hours across the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro highlands. Before drive into the crater you may stop for few minutes at the crater view point to enjoy the panoramic view of the crater and take some nice pictures. Descend into the Crater floor for a wonderful game drive (picnic lunch will be served at the crater floor). Ngorongoro Crater is largest intact caldera and one of the wonders of the world. It is home to the densest population of the African pain animals.

As you continue with game drive on this 3 days Tanzania camping safari in the crater you can spot the rare black rhino in their natural habitat. The crater wall rises for about 2000 ft high which makes impossible for animals to migrate in and out of the crater. Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Today after breakfast we will spend the last day of our 3 days Tanzania camping safari enjoy game drives in Lake Manyara before heading to Arusha. Lake Manyara is among the smallest park in the country with very diverse landscapes. The park derives its name from the Lake Manyara which is the soda lake which covers about 2/3 of the total area of the park.

Park’s varied habitats with plenty of water and fodder attracts a wide variety of wildlife including herds of African elephant, buffalo, zebra, impala, hippos, giraffe and many antelopes. The famous Lake Manyara tree climbing lions and other predators can be seen in this park. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
Picking up from the hotel in Arusha at 08:00 am for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Game viewing in Tarangire is the best during dry season (June to October) where there is greatest concentration of wildlife along the Tarangire River and the shrinking lagoons. Day 3:  Joining Safari Serengeti National Park
Today after breakfast you will continue with the joining safari by conducting the morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. After some hours of exploring the beauty of Serengeti and its wildlife you will then drive back to the camp for hot lunch and pack your thing then drive to Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and overnight at the campsite.


Day 4: Crater Tour –Back to Arusha

Joining Group Safari

Group Safari to Tarangire  and Ngorongoro Crater for the true African adventure of the life-time. These two parks  have a remarkable number of mammals and bird species. Tarangire National park on its side offer habitats to the largest herds of Elephants compared to other northern Tanzania parks. The  Ngorongoro crater, which is the world largest unbroken and unfolded volcanic caldera is the homeland to all the BIG FIVE.



Group Safari Itinerary


Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Pick up at 08:00 am from your hotel in Arusha town then introduced to other travelers in the group. Start the group safari by heading to Tarangire National park which is your first game spotting destination. The Tarangire National Park is the home to the largest population of elephant in North Tanzania. This park has also a sufficient population of giraffe, lion, buffalo, gnu, lion, zebras and a variety of antelopes. Dinner and overnight in the campsite.


Day 2:  Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today your group safari proceed to ngorongoro crater. Mentioned as one of the eight wonders of the world the ngorongoro crater host the largest population of predators such lions and hyena over an areas. The special thing about the Ngorongoro crater is that a visitor if lucky can obvious see all the BIG FIVE in a day.  In the evening drive back to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight at Twiga Campsite / Lodge.


Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Today is the last day of the group safari where we are visiting   Lake Manyara National Park. This park is among few destination where you can see a tree climbing lion and other animals such as elephants, zebra, hippos and wildebeest. If you are a bird lover you shouldn’t miss Lake Manyara Park as you will a remarkable bird species. Evening drive back to Arusha or Moshi for a drop off at your hotel.
